From the FATA Files… Factory ZERO and the Pendulum Conveyor *************************************** Over the past two years, FATA Automation has been involved on the Factory ZERO Paint Shop Conveyor Project for Gallagher Kaiser and General Motors. Factory ZERO is the first fully dedicated electric vehicle assembly plant for GM and is located on the grounds formerly known as the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant. Some of the most technologically advanced material handling systems have been integrated at Factory ZERO including over 5 miles of FATA’s skid modules and electrified monorail to carry the vehicles throughout the paint shop. One of many highlights of the project has been the successful installation of a Pendulum Conveyor that carries skids with vehicle bodies through the pre-treatment and ELPO baths.  Although this style of conveyor has been around for a while, it has been considered to be one of the most robust and dependable systems available. When most people think of best crew teams, they envision Ivy League Schools like Princeton, Yale, Cornell and Harvard going head-to-head rowing down the Charles River in Boston.  As a matter of fact, 18 Ivies were among the representatives of Team USA at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.  However, did you know that three team members of Team USA call places like Flushing, Ann Arbor and Detroit their hometown?  And did you know that there are several Michigan high school teams that compete in crew events, including 7 based out of the Wyandotte Boat Club? FATA Automation to Provide Turn-Key Skid Conveyor System for Gallagher Kaiser at GM SLP in Mexico

FATA Automation is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a material handling project for Gallagher Kaiser at the General Motors San Luis Potosi Paint Shop in Mexico.  This project allows for the plant to produce two-tone paint on the bodies of the Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain crossovers. FATA Automation, a global leader in the supply of skid conveyor modules and systems, will be providing a turn-key system that will incorporate power roll beds, power roll stands, eccentric lift roller pop-up tables, cross transfers, and process conveyors including dual-strand and mini flat-top designs for production, paint and oven operations.  The overall length of the module installation will be just under 1 mile once completed. The project is expected to be completed by Spring 2023. FATA Automation Announces New Project with Gallagher Kaiser for Paint Shop at GM CAMI Assembly Plant

FATA Automation is pleased to announce that it will be providing a portion of the conveyor package for the Gallagher Kaiser Paint Shop at the General Motors CAMI Assembly Plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada. The package includes an Electrified Monorail System (EMS) with rotating carriers for the Pre-Treatment and Electro Dip (PTED) and a Skid Module System for the rest of the paint shop for the underbody program run for the all-new GM-backed BrightDrop eLVC electric vehicle, which is being produced as delivery vans for FedEx, Walmart and Merchants Fleet. The plant is scheduled to shut down starting on April 30, 2022 for the demolition of the existing system with the expected production launch to commence in January 2023. FATA Automation’s Newest Project Manager Prepares to Become a U.S. Citizen Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America to take place in January 2022 Auburn Hills, MI December 15, 2021: In January 2022, Greg Gallant, FATA Automation’s newest project manager, will be participating in a very special ceremony, that as he put it, many people take for granted. He will officially become a U.S. citizen with his pledge to the Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America. “My patriotism for the United States is at an ultimate high,” Gallant declared. “I am excited and have a great sense of pride becoming an American.” The official preparation took over 11 months through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security with all of the COVID challenges. Greg had to pass a two-part citizenship test with all of its civics components, which opened up his understanding of how we became the greatest nation on Earth. Offering Alternative Therapy with Smiles – Charitable Donation

During difficult current times, many local businesses and industries have been affected.  One such local business was featured on Local 7 News WXYZ:   https://www.wxyz.com/rebound/impact-of-covid-business-closures-has-metro-detroit-pet-therapy-farm-trying-to-make-ends-meet They are a local horse farm who provides special needs children and adults with pet therapy.  During this time they would typically provide lessons, tour school groups and hold fundraisers.  In speaking with their owner Beth Pellerito today, they have been worried about what might happen to some current clients who are boarding at the farm should they have to permanently close their doors.
